We want you to love every scent you experience with CA Perfume. If things don't go as expected, don't worry—we've got you covered with a hassle-free, self-serve return process that ensures you get the best fragrance experience possible.

1. How to Process a Return or Exchange

We've made returns quick and easy with our self-serve return portal. Just login to your customer account, click your order details, and select your preferred option below.

REQUIRED: Use Our Self-Serve Return Portal

The self-serve return portal is the ONLY authorized method to initiate returns. You must select one of the three options below, provide your order number, and (for damage claims) upload photos.

Choose Your Option:

Option 1: Store Credit

  • Receive instant credit to your CA Perfume account
  • Credit never expires and can be used anytime
  • No return shipping required
  • Store credit amount = full item price (no S&H deduction)
  • Final: Once accepted, store credit cannot be refunded or exchanged again

Option 2: Free Exchange

  • Choose a different fragrance from our library of 1050+ scents
  • We ship your replacement at no cost
  • No return shipping required
  • Not sure what to choose? Tell us what drew you in, and we'll recommend your next favorite
  • Final: Once accepted, exchanges cannot be refunded or exchanged again

Option 3: Return & Refund

Important: You arrange and pay for return shipping. Refund amount will be reduced by original shipping and handling fees.

  • Ship your unused, unopened fragrance to our returns address (see below)
  • You pay for return shipping costs
  • Keep proof of postage and tracking number
  • Once received and processed, you'll receive a refund of the item price minus shipping and handling fees
  • Refunds are issued to original payment method (3-5 business days)

  • We only accept returns within the USA
  • You have 14 days from delivery to initiate a return via the self-serve portal
  • Fragrances must be unopened, unused, and in original packaging with at least 95% of liquid remaining
  • For damage or defect claims, you must report within 7 days of delivery and upload clear photos

We Recommend Store Credit or Free Exchange

Most customers prefer store credit or free exchange because they're instant, hassle-free, and involve no shipping costs. If you're unsure which fragrance to try next, let us help!


2. Received a Damaged or Incorrect Product?

We take extra care in packing orders, but if your fragrance arrives damaged, defective, or incorrect, we'll make it right!

  • Report the issue within 7 days of delivery via our self-serve return portal
  • Upload clear photos of the damaged or incorrect product from multiple angles
  • We'll send you a replacement or store credit—whichever works best for you
  • No chargebacks: Contact us first; we resolve damage claims within 24 hours

3. Shipping Issues & Lost Packages

If your order says delivered but you can't find it, we recommend:

  • Checking with neighbors or your local carrier
  • Waiting a day, as carriers sometimes mark packages delivered early
  • If still missing, submit a claim within 5 days of the marked delivery date through our self-serve return portal

⚠️ IMPORTANT: Chargebacks Are a Last Resort

Once a package is marked delivered, we cannot determine if it reached your door or a neighbor's. Please check with neighbors and your carrier before contacting us.

We strongly recommend reaching out via live chat or emailing [email protected] with your order number rather than filing a chargeback with your bank—we can resolve this much faster, typically within 24 hours.


4. Changed Your Mind? Not Your Scent?

Fragrance is personal, and we get that! If a scent isn't for you, here's what we can do:

  • Unopened and unused fragrances can be returned for store credit only within 14 days of delivery via our self-serve return portal
  • Opened or used fragrances cannot be returned for hygiene and safety reasons
  • Not sure about a scent? Try our travel-size options before committing to a full-size bottle

5. Store Credit & Refunds

Store Credit:

  • We issue store credit directly to your CA Perfume account—it never expires
  • All eligible returns are processed as store credit only
  • Once you accept an exchange or store credit, you cannot return it again or request a refund
  • Store credit cannot be refunded once used or accepted
  • Shipping fees are non-refundable
  • Return shipping costs are the customer's responsibility unless the return is due to damage or an error on our part

6. Return Eligibility Requirements

  • Fragrances must be unopened, unused, and in their original packaging
  • Packaging must be intact (including outer boxes and caps)
  • If returning, bottles must contain at least 95% of the original liquid
  • Return must be initiated via self-serve portal within 14 days of delivery

7. Fraud Protection & Return Integrity

To protect our customers and business, CA Perfume reserves the right to:

  • Deny returns that appear fraudulent, false, or in bad faith
  • Monitor for patterns of abuse (serial returns, false damage claims, repeated chargebacks)
  • Suspend accounts or ban customers engaging in fraudulent return activity
  • Investigate and dispute chargebacks filed without prior contact
  • Pursue legal remedies and refuse future service to customers filing false claims

🚫 NO CHARGEBACKS AFTER ACCEPTING STORE CREDIT

By accepting store credit, exchange, or refund from CA Perfume, you explicitly waive your right to file a chargeback with your card issuer. Any chargebacks filed after accepting resolution will be disputed by CA Perfume. Repeat chargebacks may result in account termination and pursuit of legal action.


8. Important Disclaimers

  • Carrier Responsibility: CA Perfume is not responsible for return packages that get lost, stolen, or damaged in transit. Keep proof of postage and tracking information.
  • Delivery Confirmation: Delivery confirmation does not guarantee the package reached the correct recipient. Always check with neighbors before assuming a package is lost.
  • Documentation: All return and damage claims must include your order number (starts with #CA) and photo evidence via the self-serve portal.
